Moved manufactured homes
Your home was moved. That does not have to end the loan.
When a lender learns a manufactured home was moved, they ask an engineer to confirm it is sound where it sits now. We inspect it, sign the report, and you hand it to the lender.

Where to start
Which one sounds like you?
Almost everyone who lands here is in one of three spots.
My lender says the home was moved
They want an engineer to confirm it came through the move sound.
Structural integrity report
They want the foundation certified
The old certification was for the old site. The new one needs its own.
Foundation certification after a move
I am thinking of buying one
Find out how it was moved and set up before you commit.
Inspection before you buyWhy lenders ask
What a move can do to a home
A move puts loads on a home that it does not see sitting still, and it ends with a second installation, often by a different crew. What moving does to a manufactured home.
- The frame. The steel chassis can twist or bend on the road, and welds can crack.
- The joint between sections. A multi-section home is split apart to move and joined again on site.
- The supports. Piers, footings, and anchors are built new at the second site, by a different crew.
- The records. Paperwork written for the first site no longer describes the home.
